MatchNest
MatchNest is a mobile application designed to simplify the process of finding the perfect roommate. The app addresses common challenges faced by young adults, such as safety concerns, compatibility issues, and the inefficiencies often experienced when searching for a roommate. The goal was to create a platform that ensures a secure, personalized, and seamless experience for users seeking shared accommodation.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Finding a trustworthy and compatible roommate can be a time-consuming and stressful process. Users often encounter issues such as mismatched lifestyles, unreliable information, and safety risks when meeting potential roommates. These challenges can lead to uncomfortable living situations or, in the worst cases, unsafe environments.
UX Solution
MatchNest was developed to tackle these problems by providing a secure, efficient, and user-friendly platform. The app allows users to find roommates who share similar interests and priorities, ensuring a more harmonious living experience. Key features include profile verification, detailed preference settings, personalized matching algorithms, and secure in-app messaging.
TARGET ANALYSIS
To design a solution that resonates with users, it was essential to first understand who they are. The primary target audience for MatchNest consists of young adults, including university students and young professionals, aged 18 to 35. These individuals are typically tech-savvy, budget-conscious, and often in need of shared housing due to financial constraints or the desire for social interaction.
User personas
Based on the research, I developed several user personas representing different segments of the target audience. These personas helped to focus the design on the real needs and expectations of the users, ensuring that the final product would be both functional and desirable.
